Why I Trust the Herz P1 Smart Ring Every Day

TOKYO -- Whereas our wearable gadgets are getting smaller and smaller, our fingers have not followed suit. Interacting with tiny units via contact has its limitations, as anyone who's tried scrolling on a smartwatch or Google Glass can tell you. Gesture management has been proposed as a logical alternative, with the type of monitoring that may see us waving our arms in thin air rather than tapping and dragging on contact-sensitive surfaces. There are a selection of the way to make this work, one of the most direct being a ring with an integrated accelerometer. We've seen a number of merchandise prior to now, such because the Apple-centric iRing and, extra not too long ago, the more general-purpose Nod. At CEATEC 2014 in Tokyo, I've just been given a demonstration of another machine that can be making a play for one of your digits. Referred to as merely "Ring" at this level, it's made by a company called 16Lab, headed up by award-winning designer Manabu Tago.
